What is Moroccan Oil?:

Moroccan oil is derived from the kernels of argan trees that grow in the south-western regions of Morocco. The oil, which is said to have restorative and age-defying effects, has become one of the latest miracle ingredients in the beauty industry. High in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it is believed to help all sorts of skin conditions: dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema and wrinkles. Moroccans were known to slather this oil on their skin, hair, nails and even their babies. By nature, it isn't a product that the guys would necessarily be that familiar with using, but it has benefits that can not be ignored of.

Why is Moroccan Oil Ideal for Women and Men too:

Well, primarily because this oil is a one in all solution to all your grooming needs. You do not need an array of face creams, body lotions, hair styling gels. While moisturising skin and styling hair, this multipurpose oil also repairs and protects your cells against premature ageing and damage from harmless free radicals in the environment and sun’s UV radiations. Simultaneously, it treats skin disorders such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. All this is contained in one small bottle. Moreover, it is also suitable for all the skin and hair types. Sort of miraculous, its healing abilities have made Moroccan oil the most sought after grooming product for both men and women!

Benefits of Moroccan Oil on Skin:

The active ingredient in Moroccan oil is triterpenoids that heals skin tissue while eliminating scars. It is also used to reduce inflammation and as a topical treatment for swelling when the skin becomes irritated. Moroccan Oil is also considered to be a fantastic anti-ageing treatment for skin because it has very high levels of vitamin E. This oil helps neutralise free radicals that damage skin via the polluted air. It has also shown to be very effective in restoring your skin by reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Skin contains sebaceous glands, which produce sebum that naturally protects your skin against dryness and environmental damage. But, when skin becomes too dry, it produces excessive sebum, causing breakouts. Moroccan Oil, which is an excellent moisturiser, provides skin with intense moisture that reduces and balances sebum production.

Benefits of Moroccan Oil on Hair:

It is rich in vitamin F that is used to repair body tissue, including the scalp; therefore, it also stimulates hair growth and reduces hair thinning. It has also proven to be efficient in the treating several scalp conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis. Additionally, it can be a great natural substitute for hair styling products.

As An After Shave:

Frequent facial shaving has harsh effects on your skin. Applying 1-2 drops of Moroccan oil on damp newly shaved skin will moisture and fortify skin with vital nutrients. It is also rich in anti-inflammatory antioxidants that will disinfect and keep shaving cuts safe from infection while preventing the formation of scars.

Ten ways to use organic Argan oil in your daily life:

  1. Face Moisturiser – After cleansing morning and/or night, massage a few drops of Argan oil directly onto your face and neck. Since Argan is considered a dry oil, it absorbs quickly and is not greasy. If you want to use it as a serum, apply your night cream after the oil absorbs into the skin.
  2. Hydrating Toner – Add a few drops of Argan oil to your favourite facial toner to hydrate and tone simultaneously. You can make your own toner by adding a few drops of Argan oil to Rose or Orange Blossom water.
  3. Rejuvenating & Brightening Face Mask – Add a few drops of Argan oil to your store-bought mask. Alternatively, make your own mask by mixing 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 3 teaspoons of Greek-style yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey and 3 drops of Argan oil in a bowl. Apply on a clean, dry face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
  4. Exfoliating Lip Scrub and Moisturiser – To smooth and moisturise your lips, add a few drops of Argan oil and vanilla extract to fine brown sugar. Lightly massage into lips using circular motion and rinse off.
  5. Face Glow – Add a drop or two of Argan oil to your foundation, bronzer or tinted moisturiser for a dewy, luminous glow.
  6. Leave-on Conditioner – After the shower, while your hair is still wet, add a few drops of Argan oil to your hair, ends and scalp to hydrate and moisturise. It’s especially nourishing if your hair is dry from daily use of a blow dryer, straight-iron or curling iron.
  7. Hair Styling Shine – When your hair is dry, use as a styling product by adding a few drops of Argan oil to the palms of your hand. Rub your hands together and run your fingers through your hair to create shine and tame frizz. You only need a small amount. It lasts a long time.
  8. Overnight Hair Treatment – Massage a generous amount of Argan oil into your hair, ends and scalp. Wrap your hair and leave it on while you sleep. In the morning, wash your hair and you’ll have luminous, soft locks.
  9. Cuticle and Heel Softener – Massage a few drops of Argan oil into your cuticles to soften, moisturise and encourage nail growth. Use as an overnight treatment to nourish cracked heels by working a good amount into your feet and toes. Cover with socks and wake up to supple feet.
  10. Body and Bath Oil – Add a few drops of Argan oil directly onto your skin, into the bath or body lotion. It’s safe to use on a baby and to help minimise stretch marks on a pregnant belly too.
